18-hour design sprint that fueled 48% revenue growth for a ticketing platform
How I delivered a complete experience and interface overhaul for a ticketing platform serving events, parties, and festivals. The redesign improved usability, visual appeal, and conversion flows — resulting in 14+ new partners in 3 months, a 48% increase in monthly ticket revenue, and a 28% boost in weekly event listings.

MY CONTRIBUTION
The company was struggling to land deals with new event revenues. I was hired to revamp their website with very little bugdet and as fast as possible so they could sell their platform for different event revenues and increase profit.

UNDERSTANDING THE TARGET AUDIENCE
WHO WILL BUY TICKETS ON TICKET KING?
The Ticket King user base primarily consists of young adults, typically between 18 and 40 years old. They are enthusiasts of social experiences, live music, and nightlife. Both men and women are equally represented. They consist of singles, couples, and groups of friends seeking fun and memorable moments. They often enjoy consuming alcoholic beverages, and some indulge in recreational drugs. It's a diverse, dynamic, and socially engaged audience, seeking experiences and to meet new people.
OUR CUSTOMERS

JUST PARTY
BETTER THAN US
5 MAINS USER NEEDS
Minimum requirements that Ticket King needs to achieve:
SHOPPING EXPERIENCE
The user needs an intuitive, easy and fast shopping experience for digital purchases.
SUPPORT
Users expect efficient customer support in case of doubts, technical issues, or they need assistance.
VARIETY
They need a large variety of parties and events to choose from.
TRANSPARENCY
Clear and transparent information about events such as date, time, location, attractions, cancellation and refund policies, and especially extra fees.

TICKETS VIRTUAL SECURITY
The user prefers secure and trustworthy environment. They are very suspicious of scams or false tickets.
THE GOAL
Redesign the ticket discovery and purchase journey to attract more event organizers and nightlife business owners. This facelift aimed to support Ticket King's marketing team in acquiring and retaining more partners — ultimately driving growth through increased ticket sales and commission revenue. Since Ticket King earns a percentage from every ticket sold, expanding the advertiser base was a key business priority.
THE CHALLENGE
Work with an extremely limited budget and deliver the redesign in under 48 hours — with minimal time for user research or iteration. The main challenge was to design a more compelling, business-driven user journey without exceeding the client's budget or timeline constraints.
THE RESULTS
Just two weeks after implementing the new interface, Ticket King secured 10 new event partners, resulting in a 35% increase in monthly revenue and a 40% growth in advertiser count. The redesign directly contributed to improved business performance and validated the strategic value of UX in high-pressure environments.

WIREFRAMES
I started this project by designing wireframes for mobile first, as I strongly believe in a mobile-first approach for this context. The target audience is highly engaged on social media and primarily interacts with the platform through mobile devices. I used my iPad and FigJam to sketch and iterate on the wireframes, covering key screens such as the homepage, the list of available events, the purchased tickets page, and the website's core functionalities.

Suplementary Interfaces
OVERVIEW
The following sections showcase complementary screens from this project, including the login screen, cookie consent flow, search behavior, filtering options, and the “My Tickets” area.
1
LOGIN
The login modal already existed in production, meaning only the action trigger was adapted.
2
COOKIES
Due to LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law), Ticket King requested the acceptance of cookies not only to comply with digital laws but also to enhance the user experience with the collected data.
3
SEARCHING
Mobile search behavior differs slightly from desktop, aligning with market practices. Results are displayed on a new page, preventing performance overload and providing filtered navigation for what the user truly seeks.
4
FILTERS
The filters narrow down search results to what the user needs to find. Sorting and filtering options include location, considering Ticket's nationwide expansion in the near future, as well as date and pricing filters for both male and female tickets.
5
MY ACCOUNT
When signing up for the platform, users provide their name, email, CPF (Brazilian taxpayer registry identification), and create a password. As part of the project scope, a screen was requested to allow users to edit this personal information.
6
MY TICKETS
Following ticket acquisition (a journey already existing in production, hence not included in this project), users can navigate to the ticket area. Here, they see the name of the purchased event, the batch they bought, the date, time, and location. By clicking "Open Ticket," they can download the QR Code to be presented at the event entrance. The ticket QR Code is also sent to the customer's WhatsApp, further streamlining the process.
7
COMMERCIAL PAGE
DYNAMIC AND ADAPTIVE PAGE FOR ADVERTISERS
I Designed a modular webpage, adaptive to reuse the index structure, allowing partner advertisers to have their own URL with their events showcased.
THIS WAS A GAME CHANGER… 💰
My suggestion was a strategic move to seal more deals and boost event revenue. Many of our partners didn't have their own websites. Now, by teaming up with Ticket King, they essentially got their own online presence and a ready-to-go ticketing platform. Having a single, dedicated URL for all their tickets is incredibly powerful because they can drop it straight into their Instagram bio, making it super easy for fans to buy tickets and skyrocket their sales.

Final Considerations
To sum up
Before vs After
A side-by-side comparison of the original live version of Ticket King and the redesigned version I delivered.
Just two weeks after implementing the new interface, Ticket King secured 10 new event partners, resulting in a 35% increase in monthly revenue and a 40% growth in advertiser count. The redesign directly contributed to improved business performance and validated the strategic value of UX in high-pressure environments.
What went well
Impact in Record Time
With only 18 hours available, I was able to rapidly analyze, ideate, and redesign a key business page for Ticket King. Even under a tight timeline, I delivered a solution that was both strategic and visually compelling, helping the company better attract event organizers to their platform.
High leverage, low budget
Despite a limited budget, I focused on high-impact design decisions. By refining hierarchy, layout, and content clarity, the updated home experience significantly increased the perceived value of the platform — all without complex engineering work required.
Design that drove business growth
The new direction helped the platform gain traction. After the redesign, the company reported a noticeable increase in inbound interest from event organizers — validating that small, focused UX changes can spark measurable business results.
What I learned
Designing for real constraints
This project was a great reminder that great design doesn’t require infinite time or budget — it requires focus. Working within 18 hours forced me to prioritize usability and clarity over polish, and the outcome was more effective because of it.
Freelance Stakeholder Management
Working directly with a client team taught me how to clearly communicate design rationale to non-design stakeholders, align expectations, and ensure buy-in despite limited resources and partial implementation.
Value of strategic visual design
This project deepened my understanding of how visual design alone can shape user perception and trust. Simply redesigning the event discovery flow and hierarchy led to a stronger brand presence and business credibility.
